SeaBot Maritime is looking for an organised, proactive and detail-focused Finance and Business Support Administrator to join our team on a part-time basis.
This is a varied role with a strong focus on finance administration, alongside wider business support responsibilities across office administration, procurement, customer support and executive assistance.
You’ll play an important role in keeping our financial records accurate and up to date while helping the wider business run smoothly. From processing invoices and expenses to supporting customer bookings, arranging travel and helping co-ordinate events, the role offers plenty of variety and the opportunity to work across different areas of the business.
We’re looking for someone who takes pride in being organised, enjoys working with numbers and is comfortable managing a range of priorities in a busy and collaborative environment.
What You'll be Doing
- Processing and reconciling supplier invoices and customer payments using Xero, including supporting overdue account follow-up.
- Processing staff expenses through Dext, along with petty cash, worksheets and foreign currency requests.
- Supporting bank reconciliations, month-end reporting, VAT returns, cash flow updates and funding grant claims.

- Supporting the CEO with diary management, meeting scheduling and associated logistics.
- Providing general business support, including office supplies and post, internal communications, and logistical support for training, operations, events and workshops.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
