Role Description
The Finance and Commercial Operations Lead is a full-time, on-site role based in London, responsible for overseeing Gymnasium’s financial management and commercial performance. Day-to-day tasks include:

- Managing budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow
- Monitoring revenue and cost drivers
- Preparing financial reports and analyses for leadership
- Covering pricing strategy, membership and product performance tracking
- Identifying opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency

This person will collaborate closely with coaching, sales, and marketing teams to ensure that financial and commercial plans support member experience and business growth. Additional responsibilities include:
- Implementing and refining processes
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Supporting strategic decision-making as Gymnasium scales
Qualifications
- Strong financial management skills, including budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and cash flow management.
- Experience in commercial operations, such as pricing strategy, revenue optimization, and performance analysis.
- Comfort working with data and tools (e.g., spreadsheets, financial software, CRM systems) to generate insights and support decisions.
- Process-oriented mindset with the ability to design, implement, and refine operational workflows.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both business and coaching teams.
- Prior experience in fitness, hospitality, or membership-based businesses is beneficial.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
