About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity to join Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust and take the first steps in your finance career as a Finance Assistant within our Corporate Services Team. We are looking for a motivated, detail and accuracy-oriented individual who will be collaborating with colleagues across the finance function to ensure delivery of accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful applicant will gain valuable experience in a fast-paced NHS environment, and have access to excellent development opportunities that can help shape your future finance career.
Responsibilities
- Managing and reconciling NHS Professionals and NHS Supply Chain invoices
- Processing pay and non-pay journals
- Supporting month-end and year-end financial reporting
- Providing management accounting support to corporate departments under the guidance of the Senior Management Accountant
- Responding to budget holder queries
- Processing departmental requisitions
- Supporting the Financial Services team with asset verification and disposal processes
- Providing flexible support across Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Capital teams as required
- Helping maintain the accuracy of the Trust’s purchase ordering system through the review and management of outstanding purchase orders
