Here at GXO, we're recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our team at Rockingham, Corby. This is a fixed-term contract ending Jan 2027, working 5 out of 7 days, 08:00 – 16:00, where you'll play a key role in supporting the finance function through accurate reporting, reconciliations and financial administration.
Working closely with the Finance Manager, you'll help maintain financial controls while supporting the wider business through timely and accurate financial information.

We’re offering a salary of £28,000 per annum, depending on experience, and 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays. Your benefits package includes a company sponsored pension scheme, life assurance and access to our benefits platform, including retail discounts.

- Support monthly management accounting activities through the preparation and posting of journals, accruals and financial adjustments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with reporting requirements
- Raise and process customer invoices while maintaining robust financial records and ensuring all transactions are completed within agreed timescales
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations, investigating discrepancies and working with stakeholders to ensure issues are resolved promptly and accurately
- Develop and maintain spreadsheets and financial reports, providing meaningful data and insight to support business decision-making
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc analysis, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives, helping to enhance processes and financial controls
What you need to succeed at GXO:
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts or administrative role, with a good understanding of financial processes and controls
- Strong numerical and analytical skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and confidence working with financial systems and large data sets
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build effective relationships across multiple departments
- Ideally studying towards AAT or qualified through experience, with a proactive approach to learning and professional development
