About Us
Tanpopo Japanese Food is a well-established food manufacturing business based in Feltham, proudly producing fresh Japanese cuisine for nearly 30 years. Over the years, we have grown into one of the UK's leading Japanese food manufacturers, supplying high-quality products to supermarkets, food service companies, and retailers nationwide. Our group also owns Kimiko, a small chain of Japanese take away shops. We are now seeking a full-time detail-orientated and organised Finance Assistant to join our accounts team. The successful candidate will support the accounts operations with various accounting tasks, reporting to our Finance Manager and Managing Director. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a fast growing company, utilising SAGE accounting software and other company specific software.

Main responsibilities and tasks
- Processing supplier invoices in line with financial procedures
- Reconcile supplier statement and preparing monthly payment run
- Performing bank and credit card reconciliations
- Checking, approving and processing staff expense claims in compliance with company policies
- Posting invoices to customer invoicing platform
- Managing part of the debtor ledger, including chasing outstanding payments and issuing monthly customer statements
- Setting up new customer accounts and liaising with Sales team to agree customer payment terms.
- Supporting Finance Manager with basic month-end processes such as posting journal entries, managing accruals, and prepayment.
- Investigating and resolving discrepancies via the share finance mailbox
- Organizing finance files and maintaining vendor database.

Qualification Requirement:
- Part qualified or fully qualified AAT Level 4 or qualified by experience
- Strong understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting principles
- Proficient in financial systems (Sage), Microsoft Office, and Outlook
- Previous experience in accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, or a similar finance role
- Previous experience in the Food Industry desirable
- Good communication skills and ability to work with a range of stakeholders.
- High level of accuracy and attention to details
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple deadlines
- Well organized with strong time management skills
Salary:
£32,000-£35,000 (DOE)
Working Hours:
- Working week: 5 days/40 hours per week with a 30-minute unpaid break
- Days of work: Monday to Friday
- Hours of work: 8.30am-5.00pm
- Full Time, Permanent
