The Role: Finance Assistant

Contract:

  • Full Time, Permanent
  • Homebased in the West Midlands with 2–3 office visits per month (Birmingham HQ)

Working Hours:

  • 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

Salary:

  • £25,000 – £35,000 (dependent on experience)

Key Responsibilities

Do you love turning data into insights that drive business decisions? Join VIVO as a Finance Assistant!

  • Financial Reporting: Produce clear, standardised monthly cost reports breaking down spend by:
    • Supplier
    • Cost type
    • Employee
  • Collaborate with Finance Business Partners to design reporting tools and analyse financial systems (SAP).
  • Business Partner: Work with stakeholders across VIVO, supporting:
    • Month-end journals
    • External reporting
    • Ad-hoc analyses
  • Learn and build expertise in reporting systems and dashboards, working closely with our data analytics team.

Better with SAP Experience (But Not Essential!)

  • This role is perfect if you thrive with data analysis, finding patterns, and making financial complexity easy to understand.
  • Excitement to learn quickly is crucial—but SAP experience is a plus.

What We’re Looking For

  • No qualification required, but proficiency in AAT or part-qualification (ACCA/CIMA) is an advantage.
  • Must demonstrate a confident, collaborative approach with strong communication skills.
  • Excel expertise required—fluency in:
    • Data manipulation
    • Clear, accurate presentations of complex financials
  • Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to high-quality, reliable work.
  • BPSS Clearance required.
