Job Opportunity
We have a newly created opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join our finance team. This full-time role will be based from our Staines office and will provide essential support to the finance department, helping ensure smooth financial operations and assisting with day-to-day accounting tasks. The successful candidate will work closely with other finance team members and report directly to the Finance Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Updating accounting records including:
- Raising and posting customer invoices to Sage
- Credit control
- Posting of month end revenue and cost journals
- Project Support - timesheets:
- To provide day to day project and business support as required
- Raising customer invoices as per contractual terms
- Reporting Requirements:
- Production of monthly management accounts including a revenue report driven by time sheet records and the production of a cost report
- Analysis of the above to identify any unexpected differences
- Production of month end metrics to analyse the businesses underlying performance

Requirements
- Experience working in a finance support role
- Basic understanding of accounting principles and financial processes
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team and communicate effectively
- Previous experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage 50) is desirable but not essential
