Finance Assistant, 12 Month FTC, Advertising Agency, Central London, £28-30,000
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Assistant to join a growing finance team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to gain broad exposure across finance operations while supporting the smooth running of day-to-day financial processes within a fast-paced, collaborative business environment.
Reporting to the Finance Director, you will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable activities, supporting reporting requirements, and assisting with process improvements across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Process supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payment runs.
- Manage supplier queries and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Reconcile supplier statements and ensure accounts remain up to date.
- Process employee expenses, company credit card transactions, and staff advances.
- Perform bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
- Ensure all documentation is compliant with internal controls and audit requirements.

Finance Support
- Assist with client billing and intercompany transactions.
- Support month-end activities and reporting requirements.
- Prepare financial information and administrative reports for the finance team.
- Assist with audit queries and finance-related projects as required.
Process Improvement & Collaboration
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes and controls.
- Work closely with stakeholders across the business to ensure financial data is accurate and understood.
- Support the wider finance team with ad hoc tasks and initiatives.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Experienced in accounts payable or a similar finance administration role.
- A confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
- Proactive, adaptable, and able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines.
- A strong team player with a positive, can-do attitude.
- Motivated to learn, develop, and contribute to the success of the wider business.

Skills & Experience
- Previous experience within a finance, accounts payable, or accounts assistant role.
- Strong reconciliation and data-entry skills.
- Experience using accounting or ERP systems.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational abilities.
- Understanding of financial controls and compliance processes is desirable.
