The Role

As a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in optimising productivity and ensuring financial accuracy across GLI’s global operations. This is a dynamic, fast-paced position suited for someone who thrives in a multi-faceted environment, where attention to detail, problem-solving, and teamwork are essential. You’ll have the opportunity to:

Key Responsibilities

  • Financial Administration:
    • Process all financial transactions, including client payments and invoice payments
    • Track and maintain accurate financial records

  • Reporting & Compliance:

    • Prepare and maintain financial statements
    • Prepare receipts, invoices, and ensure accounting accuracy
    • Support audit preparatory tasks and external audits
    • Compile annual reports and financial data for annual audits
  • System & Expense Management:

    • Enter certification charges and re-billable expenses (e.g., courier and internet) into the accounting system
    • Coordinate monthly invoicing preparation and mail
  • Vendor & Bank Relations:

    • Maintain relationships with banks, fiscal offices, and external auditors
  • Additional Duties:

    • Duty to assist in other related administrative tasks as required

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience:

  • 2+ years of administrative experience; accounting or finance experience is preferred
  • Familiarity with payroll systems is a plus

Education:

  • Degree in [Accounting, Finance, or related field is preferred]

Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word, is essential
  • Advanced skills in spreadsheet analysis are an asset

Soft Skills:

  • Outstanding verbal, written, and organisational communication in English
  • High-level attention to detail and accuracy under scrutiny
  • Capacity to handle multiple projects while managing tight deadlines and priorities
  • Exhibits professionalism, strong problem-solving abilities, and a sense of urgency
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining emissary organisational support
