About the Firm
An elite US law firm with a long-established and highly regarded London presence is continuing to invest in its finance practice as part of its broader private capital platform. The firm is recognised for advising sponsors, corporates and financial institutions on complex, cross-border transactions, operating through lean deal teams and a highly integrated international network.
The Role
This opportunity sits within a leading finance team that works closely with private equity sponsors, portfolio companies, debt funds and financial institutions on a wide range of sophisticated financing matters. The role offers exposure to:
- Leveraged and acquisition financings
- Refinancings and recapitalisations
- Bond issuances
- Fund-related and structured financings
- Other transaction-driven finance work

Associates are involved from an early stage in matters and can expect hands-on responsibility, including:
- Drafting and negotiating core finance documentation
- Managing workstreams
- Liaising directly with clients and counterparties
- Collaborating with colleagues across corporate, funds and private capital teams
Matters are frequently international and require:
- A strong commercial approach alongside technical excellence
Requirements
- Experience advising private equity sponsors, corporates and/or financial institutions on finance matters
- Exposure to:
- Leveraged finance
- Acquisition finance
- Fund finance
- Or related transaction-driven financing work
- Strong drafting and negotiation skills, with the confidence to:
- Manage aspects of transactions
- Contribute meaningfully within deal teams
- Commercial awareness
- Attention to detail
- Ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, high-quality environments
