About the Role
As a Finance Associate – Accounts Payable Specialist (Associate) at Kainos, you will be responsible for performing a wide variety of accounting tasks. You will be working as part of a Finance team within a fast-paced PLC environment to effectively deliver support for the core business.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately input supplier invoices into the accounting system for timely approval
- Generate payments to suppliers in line with approved payment processes
- Review automatic payments (e.g., direct debits) to ensure proper authorisation and accompanying documentation
- Correspond with external suppliers and internal colleagues on all aspects of the accounts payable process
- Perform supplier statement reconciliations
- Complete the new supplier set-up process
- Assist with bank reconciliations
- Provide support to the Finance team as required

Minimum (Essential) Requirements
- 6 months’ relevance experience or a degree in a related discipline -Ability to work efficiently and prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines
- Be a self-starter, able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Sound verbal and written communication skills, engaging with both staff and external stakeholders
- Strong teamwork skills, able to take direction and collaborate effectively
- Highly flexible, including willingness to work flexible hours at peak times
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Outlook, and Word
- Sound knowledge of Workday or a similar accounting package
- Ability to carry out responsibilities in accordance with company policies, procedures, and processes
