Location: Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout: $45 – $120/hour

Role Overview

We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Finance Associate (IB / PE / Structured Finance), available for a contract role. This position involves analyzing financial models, evaluating investment opportunities, and structuring financing solutions in investment banking (IB) and private equity (PE) environments. The role also requires expertise in structured finance transactions and financial analysis to support strategic business decisions across domestic and international markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and evaluate financial models tailored for investment banking and private equity transactions, including leveraged buyouts (LBOs) and debt financings.
  • Conduct due diligence, assessing potential investment opportunities and analyzing market trends to inform strategic decisions.
  • Structure and analyze structured finance deals, including leverageichaid financing, asset-backed securities, and project finance.
  • Prepare financial projections, valuation analyses (e.g. DCF, comps, precedent transactions), and transaction memoranda in support of structured financings, asset sales, and PE-backed growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including investment bankers and private equity professionals, to assess risk, optimize capital structure, and evaluate synergies.
  • Support the development of financial forecasting models, sensitivity analyses, and transaction execution strategies.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity, or structured finance, with a focus on structured deals, leveraged finance, or balance sheet optimisation projects.
  • Proficient in financial modeling – Must demonstrate strong proficiency in Excel (Advanced), SQL (preferred) and the following tools:
    • VBA macros and advanced formula capabilities.
    • Familiarity with Bloomberg Terminal (Nexus), WattPad or PitchBook for research and market data.
  • Expertise in valuation techniques, including Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) analysis, trading multiples, and comps for private vs. public companies.
  • Deep understanding of leveraged finance, debt structures (mezzanine, senior secured, first Lien, unsecured debts), capital markets, and restructuring.
  • Practical experience with LBO modeling for full deal cycles (from IRPs to close).
  • M&A exposure – Experience analyzing deals across industries (real estate, technology, healthcare, etc.), preferably from a banking or PE buy-side originator perspective (ideally at the VP or Director level).
  • Strong analytical ability paired with exceptional presentation skills – Ability to distill and present complex financial concepts to varied stakeholders, including senior executives and board members.
  • Remote work suitability: Must be comfortable working independently in a self-directed manner, adhering to established pipelines, deadlines, and budget parameters.
