We are searching for a visionary analyst who will lead the charge in automating critical financial and royalty workflows. In this pivotal role, you won’t just optimize processes; you’ll directly empower emerging music talent by ensuring seamless and accurate financial operations, directly contributing to their success and the overall growth of the business. Your expertise will be instrumental in shaping the future of financial management for a company dedicated to supporting the next generation of artists.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build automated checks for revenue reconciliations between digital service provider (DSP) sales reports and internal systems, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Conduct VAT reconciliations on royalty statements, maintaining compliance and precision.
  • Standardize the ingestion of sales statements as external partners evolve, ensuring consistent and reliable data flow.
  • Identify manual workflows and design scalable, automated replacements to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate closely with Finance and Royalty leads to drive continuous system improvements and innovations.
  • Develop clear and comprehensive documentation and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure operational clarity and consistency.
  • Undertake various ad-hoc projects as directed by Finance and Royalty leadership, contributing to diverse strategic initiatives.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Demonstrated, hands-on experience in automating finance workflows from end to end.
  • Proficiency in working with large datasets and developing robust reconciliation logic.
  • A collaborative and cross-functional working style, effectively engaging with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential.
  • Working knowledge of automation and analytics tools, including Power Query, SQL, or Python.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • A strong background in Music Finance, ideally with experience at a music label, coupled with a solid understanding of artist royalty contracts and provisions.
  • Hands-on experience with finance and royalty systems.
  • Knowledge of music publishing royalties is a significant advantage.
