Finance and Banking Administrator (12 Months FTC)

Mon - Fri, 8.30am - 5pm (2 days per week, WFH)

Manchester, Trafford Park

We’re looking for a detail-focused Finance & Banking Administrator to join our Shared Service Centre on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

In this role, you’ll support the day-to-day banking and cash management activities across the business, ensuring transactions are processed accurately and financial controls are maintained. From managing payment instructions and bank reconciliations to supporting audits and reporting, your work will play a key role in ensuring the smooth running of our finance operations.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with financial data, maintaining accuracy under pressure, and collaborating across teams to resolve queries and improve processes.

A Typical Day

Banking & payment processing

Process payment instructions including transfers, BACS and Faster Payments across banking platforms Manage and process Direct Debit collections in line with agreed schedules and mandates Monitor failed or returned Direct Debits and liaise with internal teams and customers to resolve issues

Reconciliations & financial control

Perform bank reconciliations across group company bank accounts Manage company credit card reconciliations Ensure strong financial controls and compliance with internal policies and procedures

Systems & data management

Support ledger and journal cleansing activities to ensure data integrity ahead of ERP implementation Process financial transactions using internal systems including Spanner, Open Accounts and Rimilia Process rebates, customer refunds, write-offs and write-backs where required

Reporting & audit support

Produce internal reporting including cash forecasting, daily bank receipts and management information Support internal and external audit processes and documentation requests Assist with month-end activities, including journals and accruals

Collaboration & service delivery

Respond to internal and external finance queries in a timely and professional manner Work closely with colleagues across Finance and the wider business to resolve issues Deliver performance in line with departmental KPIs and team targets

What You'll Bring

You’re organised, analytical and comfortable working with financial systems and data. You enjoy working in a collaborative finance environment where accuracy and efficiency are key.

You’ll Bring

At least 2 years’ experience in a cash management, banking or Shared Services finance role Experience performing bank reconciliations and managing multiple accounts Experience working in a high-volume transactional finance environment Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities Strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities A proactive attitude and strong attention to detail
