Role Overview
We are seeking a Finance / Bookkeeper who will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate financial records and efficient financial management, enabling Qisetna to effectively carry out its mission and support its programs.

What Are We Looking For?
- Proven experience in finance, bookkeeping, or accounting roles, preferably in the non-profit sector.
- Proficiency in financial management software and accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
- Strong understanding of financial principles, budgeting, and accounting practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in financial recordkeeping.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret financial data and generate insights.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information clearly and concisely.
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of non-profit accounting standards and regulations is desirable.

What Will You Be Doing?
The Finance / Bookkeeper Associate will:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Prepare and review financial reports, statements, and budgets on a regular basis.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles, regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Manage the accounts payable process, including verifying invoices, obtaining necessary approvals, and processing payments in a timely manner.
- Monitor and manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
- Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies or issues.
- Provide support in budget tracking and expense monitoring to ensure financial targets are met.
- Process financial transactions.
- Maintain proper documentation of financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies and legal requirements.
- Assist in the preparation of financial documents for audits and compliance reviews.
- Collaborate with program managers to track and analyze project expenditures, ensuring alignment with budgetary guidelines.
- Conduct financial analysis to support decision-making processes and provide recommendations to improve financial performance.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and assist in implementing efficient financial practices.
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for management and board meetings.
