About The Opportunity
This is an opportunity to register your interest in future Finance Business Analyst roles within financial services and corporate finance functions. Roles of this type sit at the intersection of finance operations and business transformation, supporting the delivery of clearer financial insights and streamlined processes that drive better decision-making across the organisation.
You could be working within teams that manage financial reporting, process improvement and stakeholder engagement across finance functions. The work could involve collaborating with finance leadership, operations and technology teams to understand requirements, analyse current processes and identify opportunities for enhancement and automation.
Typical Role Overview
- Location: Manchester, Birmingham, London or nationwide UK
- Type: Contract
- Full-time
- Day Rate: £250–£280 per day or £350–£380 per day, dependent on experience
- Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
What You Would Do
Typical responsibilities could include:
- Gathering and documenting financial and business requirements from stakeholders across finance functions
- Analysing existing financial processes, systems and workflows to identify inefficiencies and improvement opportunities
- Supporting the delivery of finance reporting enhancements and process improvements
- Engaging with finance stakeholders to understand pain points and translate needs into clear requirements
- Collaborating with technology and operations teams on data quality and requirements for finance systems
- Producing business case analysis, process maps and documentation to support finance transformation initiatives
- Contributing to the evaluation and implementation of finance process improvements and system enhancements

What You Could Bring
Most roles of this type require the following:
- Demonstrable experience in requirements gathering within finance or business analysis contexts
- Experience in financial analysis, process improvement or finance reporting
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills, particularly with finance teams
- Data quality analysis and understanding of data requirements for finance systems
- Proficiency with common business analysis tools and documentation methods
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related discipline
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex financial processes into clear, actionable requirements
Nice-to-have experience could include advanced proficiency in finance systems, exposure to process automation, or certification in business analysis methodologies.
