Business Analyst – Finance Transformation (Accounts Payable & Invoicing)

Location: London (Hybrid) - 3 days per week

Contract: 6 Months Initial Contract

Sector: Financial Services

We are partnering with a leading Financial Services organisation undergoing a significant Finance Transformation programme and are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support change across Accounts Payable, invoicing and wider Procure-to-Pay processes.

This role will work closely with Finance, Operations and Technology stakeholders to review existing processes, define future-state operating models and support the delivery of finance system enhancements. The successful candidate will play a key role in improving efficiency, strengthening financial controls and optimising invoice and payment workflows across the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Elicit, analyse and document business, functional and non-functional requirements
  • Conduct as-is and to-be process mapping across Accounts Payable, invoicing and Procure-to-Pay processes
  • Facilitate workshops with Finance, Operations, Technology and third-party vendors
  • Identify process improvement opportunities and support the design of future-state solutions
  • Produce business requirements documents, user stories, process flows and gap analyses
  • Support ERP and finance system enhancements and implementations
  • Work closely with SMEs and project teams throughout the delivery lifecycle
  • Support testing activities, including UAT planning, execution and defect management
  • Ensure solutions align with business objectives, controls and regulatory requirements
  • Assist with change management, training and business readiness activities

Required Experience

  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst within Finance Transformation programmes
  • Strong understanding of Accounts Payable, invoicing and Procure-to-Pay processes
  • Experience supporting finance systems or ERP implementations
  • Strong stakeholder management and workshop facilitation skills
  • Experience with requirements gathering, process mapping, UAT and change delivery
  • Ability to engage effectively with both business and technical teams

Preferred Experience

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Financial Services experience
  • Experience with Oracle Fusion, SAP, Dynamics 365, Workday or similar ERP platforms
  • Exposure to Finance Controls, General Ledger, Treasury or wider Finance Operations functions

We are looking for a highly engaged Finance Business Analyst with a strong understanding of finance processes and systems. The ideal candidate will be comfortable operating in complex stakeholder environments and will have proven experience delivering change across Accounts Payable, invoicing and financial operations within a transformation setting.
