Job Description

In this role you will be the Finance Business Controller supporting the LBR Stores Operations function in AMS and EMEA.

‘This role is offered as a 12-month fixed term contract’

Core Responsibilities

  • Own the financial performance reporting for AMS & EMEA store operations, ensuring accurate and insightful monthly P&L updates and executive-level reporting
  • Coordinate the quarterly portfolio review process across AMS & EMEA including analysing sales and profitability drivers.
  • Interpret and analyse data, trends and patterns in datasets to provide insights and recommendations on how to optimize spend and improve global Stores performance.
  • Provide support and governance on stores bonus payout calculations and methodology.
  • Business partner with stores team to understand, challenge and estimate productivity initiatives.
  • Present ad-hoc analytical work (insights /recommendations) to business stakeholders to influence the key store decision making processes.
  • Support Senior Finance Manager for LBR stores with strategic partnering projects supporting the LBR AMS & EMEA teams
  • Develop and optimize efficiency and quality of stores financial and non-financial reporting

LEGO Retail Finance consists of ~20 colleagues based across Europe, the US and Asia. You will report into the Senior Finance Business Partner for LBR Store Operations (who reports to the Stores Finance Director).

Do you have what it takes?

  • Newly or part qualified in either CIMA or ACCA.
  • Experience working within the finance area in a global organisation. This includes experience within commercial finance and business partnering.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Organised and structured way of working.
  • Analytical approach, enjoying getting to the route of issues and making improvements.
  • Proficient in Excel, SAP and PowerPoint.
  • Finance experience from a large business, retail is a bonus.
  • Speak and write English at a sophisticated level.
  • Strong communication skills both written and verbal
