Finance Business Partner

Trinity House Group are delighted to be working with this prestigious, innovative, modern business and are currently seeking an accomplished Finance Business Partner based in Birmingham.

We are looking for an enthusiastic, established commercial accountant to support the senior leadership team, providing analytical business support and insights to optimise UK financial performance in a rapid growth environment.

Role & Responsibilities

You will take a proactive approach to integrating financial knowledge across non-financial stakeholders, working with senior teams to optimise financial outcomes and business decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver actionable financial analysis to support strategic and operational decision-making.
  • Lead financial planning, forecasting, and reporting processes, optimising performance through data-driven insights.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, driving improvements and proactive financial solutions.
  • Develop strong relationships across departments, increasing cross-functional awareness of financial responsibility.
  • Support senior leadership and the c-suite on strategic projects, investment cases, and complex financial analysis.
  • Prepare and present high-quality financial reports for senior stakeholders, ensuring clarity and impact.
  • Conduct robust cost analysis, identifying cost variances and trends to drive efficiency improvements.
  • Review finance systems and processes, recommending improvements and driving operational efficiencies.

Requirements

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA-qualified professional
  • Proven track record coming from a similar Finance Business Partner or related functional role within a fast-paced, commercial business environment, ideally interacting closely with the c-suite.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and strategic-thinking skills with financial acumen.
  • Strong communication and persuasive abilities, enabling you to challenge and guide stakeholders effectively.
  • A resilient, proactive mindset with the ability to spot issues and drive solutions independently.
  • Advanced level of accuracy, attention to detail, and methodical processes applied to all financial tasks.
  • Multi-site business experience considered advantageous.
