Cala, one of the UK’s leading premium housebuilders, is seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to cover a maternity leave period.

The Role
Reporting to the Regional Finance Director, this multi-faceted position blends accounting, commercial decision support, and stakeholder management.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce monthly regional management accounts, including:
- Journal postings
- Accruals and cost of sales adjustments
- Cash flow forecasting
- Variance analysis and associated commentary
- Oversee financial processes, driving continuous improvement to meet business needs
- Support key regional meetings with financially orientated insights, partnering with multiple departments
- Foster a commercially aware culture across the company through effective business support
- Provide high-quality management information (MI), budgetary guidance, and financial analysis to non-finance stakeholders
- Review and approve weekly cash flow reports and supplier payment runs
- Check and approve monthly regional reconciliations and internal controls
- Maintain balance sheet integrity and ensure regular control reporting
- Prepare and deliver year-end financial packaging for Group statutory accounts consolidation, liaising with external auditors on accounting queries
- Ensure regulatory compliance, including VAT, Stamp Duty Land Tax (SDLT), and accounting standards
- Provide ad-hoc support to the Regional Finance Director, including annual budgeting assistance

Requirements
- A fully qualified accountant with substantial experience in the outlined duties
- Exceptional communication skills, ability to engage with diverse stakeholders (from operational to senior leadership)
- A confident, proactive ‘can do’ attitude, ready to make an immediate impact
