As a Finance Business Partner at Flogas

You'll go beyond reporting financial results to provide meaningful insight that drives business performance. Acting as a trusted partner to commercial and operational teams, you'll translate data into actionable recommendations, challenge assumptions, and support strategic decision-making.

You will play a key role in identifying opportunities to improve margins, optimise costs, and enhance operational efficiency, ensuring decisions are grounded in robust financial analysis. Through effective stakeholder management and constructive challenge, you'll help shape business strategy, drive accountability, and support sustainable growth.

This highly visible role requires a blend of financial expertise, commercial acumen, and influencing skills. By connecting financial outcomes to operational drivers, you'll help unlock value across the organisation and contribute directly to long-term business success.

Here at Flogas, we may have a fossil fuels background, but we’re working towards delivering 100% renewable energy to our customers by 2040. We’re already supporting our customers to reduce their carbon emissions, by helping them make the switch from oil to gas. We’re also developing our offering for technologies such as heat pumps and solar panels, beginning to help our customers reduce their energy consumption and evolving new bio-fuels and renewable gases. All of which means job security, and opportunities to get involved in exciting new initiatives.

Here's what you'll be doing

  • Serving as a trusted Finance Business Partner to commercial and operational stakeholders.
  • Delivering insightful financial analysis and performance reporting to support decision-making.
  • Challenging and influencing stakeholders to improve profitability, efficiency, and financial performance.
  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, business planning, and investment appraisal activities.
  • Identifying financial risks and opportunities, providing recommendations to drive sustainable growth.
  • Developing financial models and business cases to support strategic initiatives and commercial decisions.
  • Driving cost optimisation and performance improvement initiatives across the business.
  • Translating financial data into meaningful insights that enable stakeholders to make informed decisions.
  • Building strong relationships across functions to ensure alignment between financial objectives and operational delivery.
