Lusona Consultancy are delighted to be partnering with a renowned Public sector organisation in Glasgow to recruit for a Financial Planning Accountant on a permanent basis.
Our client are based Centrally in Glasgow with excellent transport links to the office and hybrid working arrangements.
Our client are seeking a Financial Planning Accountant to support on a range of Capital projects across the business and require a Qualified accountant with sound Business Partnering and stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sit within the Financial planning team and have a wider business facing reach with operational teams.
- Responsible for managing a series of projects, monitoring spend, partnering with the operations teams on advice and cost control.
- Provide an end-to-end project appraisal process, working with the board and presenting proposals.
- Take ownership of the management accounting and reporting cycle, pulling together the groups position and presenting consolidated results for the business.
- Offer advice and guidance, bridging the gap between operations and finance.
- Be a key stakeholder in business planning, budgeting, and managing a series of capital projects.

Requirements:
- Qualified accountant with strong technical skills.
- Exposure to capital projects and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects across the organisation.
- Experience of preparing business cases, project appraisal exposure is highly advantageous.
- Ability to build a partnership with project teams.
- Natural curiosity to be involved and provide first-class business planning activities in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits:
- Competitive package of £60,000 - £64,000 per annum.
