Finance Business Partner
Location: Bracknell, Hybrid – 3 days in the office, 2 days from home
Salary: Circa £60,000 (depending on experience)

This role offers the opportunity to work closely with senior leaders, helping to shape financial strategy and support the delivery of meaningful outcomes across both educational and charitable activities.
About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in supporting operational and strategic decision-making across a portfolio of schools and charitable services. Acting as a trusted advisor to senior stakeholders, you will provide insightful financial analysis, challenge assumptions, identify opportunities for improvement, and help ensure resources are utilised effectively.
This position combines strong management accounting responsibilities with genuine business partnering, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and support organisational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management accounts and supporting balance sheet reconciliations.
- Deliver insightful financial analysis, commentary and recommendations to support decision-making.
- Partner with operational leaders to monitor financial performance, budgets, and forecasts.
- Prepare and present financial information for regular business review meetings.
- Support annual budgeting, reforecasting, and longer-term financial planning activities.
- Monitor revenue, expenditure, and key performance indicators, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
- Provide financial support and analysis for fundraising initiatives, projects, and organisational programmes.
- Support workforce planning and recruitment decisions through effective budget management.
- Work closely with operational teams to improve financial understanding and accountability.
- Contribute to year-end processes, statutory reporting requirements, and financial controls.
- Support finance system improvements, process enhancements, and wider transformation initiatives.
- Provide financial information and analysis to support organisational reporting and impact measurement.

About You
We are looking for a qualified accountant who enjoys building relationships, influencing decision-making, and translating financial information into meaningful insight. You will be equally comfortable analysing financial performance as you are engaging with stakeholders across the organisation, providing support, guidance and constructive challenge.
You will bring:
- A recognised accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA).
- Strong management accounting and financial reporting experience.
- Previous experience partnering with operational stakeholders and non-finance leaders.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to tailor your approach to different audiences.
- The confidence to challenge constructively and influence senior decision-makers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
- Advanced Excel skills and a high level of financial systems proficiency.
- A proactive, organised and collaborative approach.
- The ability to balance attention to detail with a broader strategic perspective.
- Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels of seniority.
- A commercially aware mindset combined with an appreciation for the values and objectives of a purpose-led organisation.
- Due to the nature of the organisation and regular travel to school sites, the successful candidate will be required to undergo and maintain an Enhanced DBS check.
