Finance Business Partner

Finance Business Partner – Newly Qualified Accountant

Location: Northern Home Counties (Northamptonshire) Employer: Well-established manufacturing business Representation by: Morgan McKinley Northern Home Counties

This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious Newly Qualified Accountant, specialising in ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification, looking to transition into a commercially focused finance role within a fast-paced manufacturing business.

Working alongside experienced finance, engineering, and operational teams, you’ll develop valued commercial experience by providing financial insights, supporting decision-making through:

  • Financial analysis & forecasting
  • Business partnering
  • Performance monitoring & process improvements

The Role

As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll:

  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and operational teams to provide financial guidance and proactive business insights.
  • Prepare and present budgets, forecasts, and management reports.
  • Track project and operational costs, highlighting risks and opportunities.
  • Develop financial models and business cases to support strategic decisions.
  • Support month-end reporting, ensuring clarity and accuracy in performance metrics.
  • Drive improvements through reporting automation and process efficiency.
  • Leverage large datasets to extract actionable commercial insights.

Ideal candidates will display:

✔ Targeted Qualification:

  • ACA, ACCA, or CIMA (or expecting to qualify soon).

✔ Experience:

  • Background in audit, management accounting, or commercial finance.
  • Experience working with ERP systems like SAP is a bonus.

✔ Key Skills:

  • Strong analytical thinking with a problem-solving mindset.
  • Advanced Excel proficiency, plus familiarity with Power BI, Power Query, Alteryx, or similar tools.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
