Finance Business Partner

Job Opportunity – Finance Business Partner (Corporate Services)

Location: 100% Remote (3-5 Days Per Week)
Salary: DOE
Start Date: ASAP
Contract Length: 6 Months+

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the Finance Business Partner for Corporate Services, providing financial support to areas such as HR, IT, Legal, Governance, Procurement, and Finance
  • Lead budget setting, forecasting, and in-year financial monitoring activities
  • Produce detailed financial analysis, variance reporting, and budget forecasts
  • Support the development and delivery of the Medium-Term Financial Plan (MTFP)
  • Identify financial risks, opportunities, and savings proposals across Corporate Services
  • Work closely with Directors, Heads of Service, and budget holders to provide financial advice, challenge, and support decision-making
  • Support transformation programmes, organisational change initiatives, and service reviews
  • Ensure robust financial controls and governance processes are maintained
  • Contribute to year-end reporting, statutory returns, and audit requirements where required
  • Support the delivery of financial sustainability and efficiency objectives across the organisation

Successful Candidates:

  • Fully CCAB qualified or equivalent (CIPFA, ACCA, ACA, CIMA)
  • Proven experience in a Finance Business Partner, Senior Finance Business Partner, or Finance Manager role
  • Strong background in budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and financial reporting
  • Experience supporting Corporate Services, Central Services, or similar directorates within a complex organisation
  • Ability to provide financial challenge and influence senior stakeholders
  • Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience of Medium-Term Financial Planning (MTFP/MTFS) highly desirable
  • Local government experience highly desirable
