About the Role
HW Finance are pleased to be partnering with a successful retail business in West Yorkshire, to hire a newly created commercial position, to support with strategic decision making.
This is a truly commercial role, partnering central functions to drive change and support decision making. You will have autonomy to lead on forecasting and budgeting processes, and will have the opportunity to make real commercial impact, delivering financial insight and influencing senior stakeholders across the business. You will also oversee an Analyst, offering day to day coaching and development.

- Lead on budgeting, forecasting and long term planning processes
- Manage and develop a Commercial Finance Analyst
- Deliver financial insight and reporting to support with performance
- Produce relevant financial modelling to support strategic decision making processes
- Partner senior stakeholders across central functions to challenge performance, explain variances and highlight any key opportunities or risks
- Oversee project accounting, ensuring accurate reporting and providing clear guidance
- Ad hoc support to Head of Finance as required
About You
- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified
- Strong commercial finance background
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability and confidence to liaise with and challenge C-Suite stakeholders
- Ability to build effective relationships and drive improvements to commercial decision making
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical background, with ability to present information clearly
- Strong attention to detail
- Proactive and commercial in approach
- Prior mentoring/coaching experience to more junior team members
- Experience of retail environment (desirable)
