Hays Senior Finance is delighted to be partnering with a growing and ambitious Oxfordshire-based organisation to recruit a newly created Group Finance Business Partner position.

This is a highly commercial role offering the opportunity to work closely with senior operational leaders and the wider leadership team, providing financial insight, analysis, and challenge to support business performance and strategic decision-making.

The successful candidate will play a key role in developing the organisation's financial planning and analysis capability during an exciting period of growth.

The Role

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Business partnering with operational leaders across multiple business areas
  • Producing management reporting and delivering meaningful financial insight
  • Supporting month-end activities, including journals and reconciliations
  • Contributing to budgeting, forecasting, and business planning processes
  • Providing financial modelling and decision support for business cases and investment opportunities
  • Analysing financial performance, identifying trends, and recommending improvements
  • Challenging stakeholders to improve operational and financial outcomes
  • Supporting resource planning and profitability improvement initiatives
  • Driving process improvements across finance and wider business operations
  • Supporting statutory audit requirements and maintaining strong financial controls
  • Participating in management meetings and supporting senior decision-making

About You

The successful candidate will ideally possess:

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualification (part-qualified candidates will also be considered)
  • Previous experience in a Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant, or Commercial Finance role
  • Strong Excel and financial modelling skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
  • Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and management reporting processes
  • A proactive, commercially minded approach with the confidence to challenge and influence
  • The ability to manage multiple priorities within a fast-paced environment
  • Experience with Sage 50, Xero, or similar accounting systems would be advantageous.
