Finance Business Partner

This role will be based at our Farringdon, London office (EC1A 1AA) and will require attendance of 4 days per week

Join the finance team at the heart of one of the UK's most recognised organisations, providing strategic insight and challenge across the Royal Mail Letters Business Unit.

Working closely with senior leaders, you'll drive commercial performance, influence key decisions, and support the transformation of our Letters operation as we build a business fit for the future.

About The Role

Reporting to the Letters Finance Director, you'll provide financial insight, challenge and support across the Letters business, helping to shape strategy, improve profitability, optimise revenue and costs, and drive performance.

You will also:

  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver strategic plans, budgets and forecasts.
  • Provide insight and challenge across revenue, margin, costs and cash performance.
  • Lead planning, forecasting and performance management activities.
  • Deliver financial analysis, scenario modelling, and risk and opportunity assessments.
  • Support revenue growth, productivity and efficiency initiatives.
  • Drive accountability for financial targets and business performance.
  • Improve working capital through robust analysis and forecasting.
  • Partner with commercial, operational and project teams on key business initiatives.
  • Support governance, reporting and financial controls across the business.

About You

We're looking for a commercially focused finance professional who can combine strong analytical skills with the ability to influence and challenge stakeholders at all levels.

You will have:

  • Significant experience in finance business partnering or commercial finance within a large, complex organisation.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting and financial performance management.
  • A track record of improving profitability, revenue performance and working capital.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling capability.
  • Experience supporting business change and transformation programmes.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong systems knowledge (SAP, Anaplan, Power BI or QlikView desirable).
  • A professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
