The opportunity
Reporting directly to the Ireland CFO, you will be the key link between finance and the business operation, acting as a trusted advisor to the Regional MD, providing valuable analysis and insight on financial and operational performance. Working collaboratively with the Regional MD, you will support and challenge where appropriate to drive business performance.
Day-to-day duties
- Build strong partnerships and working relationships across senior business/finance stakeholders and their teams to drive optimal business decisions.
- Oversee the timely and accurate provision of month-end reporting for the Region with full ownership of the monthly management reporting pack with commentary, including financial and operational performance.
- Collation and presentation of financial targets and actual performance to key senior business stakeholders, influencing change where needed.
- Provide insightful analysis, interpretation and explanation of trends and the underlying drivers.
- Challenge the Regional MD and business where performance has not been met, and support the development of a clear action plan to improve performance.
- Work closely with the central finance team to ensure that corporate, statutory and performance monitoring requirements are met.
- Lead the budgeting and quarterly forecasting process for your region, analysing assumptions and inputs, ensuring the model is maintained.
- Support the M&A growth agenda by ensuring the successful integration within your region of acquired businesses.
- Undertake ad-hoc project-based work for specific business initiatives.

What are we looking for?
- Experienced Business Partner with overall responsibility for a specific business unit or area.
- Demonstrable strong financial management, commercial experience and track record of supporting business growth.
- Ability to formulate financial plans (long-term and tactical) and ensure full engagement within the region.
- Experience of engaging and influencing senior stakeholders.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to think creatively.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to get into the details of complex problems to understand and resolve them.
- Excellent commercial awareness.
- Continuous improvement mindset.
- Ability to be resourceful and work autonomously.
