Finance Business Partner
Job Purpose: The Finance Business Partner plays a critical role in driving financial performance management and supporting strategic decision-making across the business. Working closely with senior operational leaders, this role provides high-quality financial insight, leads complex analysis, and takes ownership of significant areas of the P&L.
The role carries responsibility for capital expenditure (CapEx) project appraisal, tracking, and post-investment review, as well as supporting the broader financial planning, forecasting, and reporting cycle. The Finance Business Partner is expected to demonstrate commercial acumen, operational awareness, and the confidence to challenge assumptions and influence outcomes at a senior level. This role also forms part of the finance team's succession framework, with expectations to develop leadership skills and contribute to the mentoring of junior roles.
What you'll do (Full JD will be available for interview) You'll sit at the heart of our finance function, owning the numbers, shaping strategy, and being the person every senior leader turns to when they need a straight answer.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
