About the Role

Discover a one-of-a-kind career at Heathrow, an airport striving to be extraordinary and fit for the future. In the Finance team, your role is critical: balancing financial strategy with exceptional passenger and customer experiences to drive long-term growth. You’ll contribute to a dynamic environment where numbers shape impact—while influence, relationships, and sustainability are just as vital.

Join a forward-thinking team committed to digital innovation, responsible investment, and a sustainable mindset.

Key Responsibilities

As a Finance Business Partner, your primary focus will be providing pragmatic, hands-on financial guidance to the Development team, shaping key business decisions through insightful support. You’ll act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, leveraging expert judgement to influence strategic outcomes. Below are your core areas of responsibility:

  • Constructing Capital Investment Appraisals:

    • Conduct Internal Rate of Return (IRR) and Net Present Value (NPV) analyses.
    • Evaluate project assumptions and model financial outcomes.
    • Prepare presentations for business reviews.

  • Financial Oversight and Governance:

    • Support funding queries and financial assurance activities for capital programmes.
    • Monitor budget adherence, KPIs, efficiency initiatives, and risk tracking across programmes.
    • Ensure stakeholder coordination, prioritisation, and periodic reporting for the capital planning process.
    • Identify and manage budgetary risks and opportunities, proposing mitigation strategies.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
