Salary: Pay Scale S02, point 26 – 28, £37,280 - £39,152 FTE per annum

Contract Type: Full time; 37hrs/wk, 52 Weeks, Permanent

Role Overview:

Anglian Learning is seeking a Finance Business Partner to join their Shared Services Finance Team. This role oversees the Finance functions across a portfolio of primary and secondary schools, ensuring the efficient delivery of financial administration, including purchase orders, invoices, income, and cash management.

The role is responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, supporting budget planning, and maintaining effective financial controls. Working closely with Headteachers and school staff, the Finance Business Partner provides expert financial advice and support while leading and developing Finance Officers through training, performance management, and day-to-day supervision to deliver a high-quality finance service.

The Successful Candidate Will Have:

  • AAT Level 3 (or equivalent experience) and GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths
  • Experience in a finance role, including management accounts, budgeting, cash management, and financial controls
  • Experience managing or supervising a small finance team
  • Strong IT skills, particularly advanced Excel, and experience using finance systems (Sage experience desirable)
  • Knowledge of double-entry bookkeeping, VAT, and financial compliance (academy sector experience is desirable)
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • A collaborative, professional approach, with a commitment to confidentiality, safeguarding, and supporting schools across multiple sites
