We are delighted to be retained and working in partnership with Anderson Strathern as they look to appoint an experienced Finance Business Partner.

About the Role

As Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering robust in-depth analysis and management accounting information to a wide range of stakeholders, whilst building strong relationships with all areas of the business. This is a particularly varied role and will offer full exposure to all areas of the business, supporting budget holders, providing key input to support business decisions and process improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop accurate and professional monthly management account reports
  • Prepare detailed variance analysis against budget and forecasts
  • Provide detailed financial and accounting reports to budget holders, Partners, department heads, and fee earners
  • Support budget holders, Partners, department heads, and fee earners to obtain in-depth understanding of their finances, finance policies, and procedures
  • Play a key role in financial planning, forecast, and budget processes by providing detailed cost and revenue analysis
  • Ensure that budgetary control measures, accounting processes, and reporting procedures are followed consistently within best practice and/or financial operating procedures
  • Lead the development of management information tools, reports, and systems to ensure reporting requirements are met, continuously improved, and adapted as required
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations where required
  • Support the preparation of the daily cash flow forecast

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate for the role will be fully qualified (2-5yrs PQE), with strong stakeholder engagement skills, excellent communication skills, with a confident ‘can-do’ attitude. The role is best suited to those who can demonstrate a track record of high performance throughout their career to date, with a clear hunger to progress.
