About the Role
We are seeking an experienced finance professional to join our Group Finance Function as a Finance Business Partner for Technology.
The role partners closely with Technology programme managers, project leads, and budget holders to lead the creation of project forecasts and review capital business cases with scenario analysis. Through robust analysis and modelling, this role will provide clear, timely financial insight to drive effective decision-making, cost control, and operational delivery.
The role is also responsible for supporting the delivery of financial performance results, strategy, budgeting and forecasting, and business performance improvements, as well as strengthening financial models, reporting, and insight while acting as a trusted finance partner to operational teams and senior stakeholders across OUP.
We operate a hybrid working policy that requires a minimum of 2 days per week in the Oxford office.

About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally have/be:
- Finance qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience
- Experience of Technology-based projects, including business case development, capital evaluation involving SaaS solutions, and planning
- Initiative and ability to successfully implement new ideas, with drive to push through
- Ability to clearly communicate compelling messages – verbal and written
- Commitment to continual personal professional development
- Knowledge in finance tools (including excel) and technology awareness (desirable)
- Experience of working in a matrix environment, balancing different stakeholder needs (desirable)
