The Opportunity
The Finance Business Partner - Enabling Functions serves as a finance advisor to Dechra's support functions, including Finance, Legal, Digital & Technology, and Human Resources. This role is accountable for supporting financial performance through disciplined planning, analysis, and governance, and assisting functional leaders in translating plans into measurable outcomes.
Working closely with functional and finance leadership teams, this position provides financial insight, structured reporting, and practical recommendations to support decision-making, improve cost visibility, and enhance financial discipline across enabling functions.
Role Responsibility
So, what will you be doing? This role has a broad and varied remit and the successful candidate will have responsibility for duties including:
Financial Performance & Insight
- Oversee financial performance tracking for assigned enabling functions, identifying key variances and emerging risks.
- Deliver recurring expense and investment reporting with analysis of variances and key cost drivers.
- Contribute to month-end close activities through review of operating expenses and P&L performance, supporting finance reporting and review processes.
- Partner in forecasting cycles and the Annual Operating Plan process, providing analysis and consolidation support across functional submissions.
- Drive consistent and enhanced analytics around SG&A for all enabling functions, with scalability of approach across Commercial divisions, Supply Chain & Manufacturing as well as R&D

Strategic Partnership & Executive Support
- Operate as a trusted finance partner to functional leaders, offering financial insight to support effective decision-making and execution of agreed plans. Enable leaders to take and be held accountable for their respective budgets.
- Prepare and present clear and structured financial materials for leadership discussions, taking a proactive approach to flagging risks and opportunities based on trends.
- Establish strong working relationships across the organization and support decision-making through fact-based communication.
- Support financial understanding within functions, providing guidance on expense management, capital investment, and relevant accounting considerations.
Financial Communication & Visualization
- Design clear, impactful financial and operational visuals that highlight performance, risks, and key value drivers.
- Present financial information in a clear and accessible format to support understanding and alignment.
Governance, Controls & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain strong adherence to financial policies, internal control standards, and reporting requirements across enabling functions.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial results, including variance analysis and documentation during close cycles.
- Contribute to finance transformation initiatives, supporting process improvements and adoption of tools and systems.
The Candidate

- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related discipline required; MBA, CFA, or CIMA preferred.
- Significant progressive finance experience, including experience in business partnering and financial analysis.
- Advanced analytical capabilities with strong Excel-based financial modeling skills and experience preparing senior leadership presentations.
- Practical experience with enterprise finance systems and analytics tools such as SAP S/4HANA, Anaplan, OneStream, Power BI, or equivalent solutions.
- Strong communicator with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively across functions.
- Demonstrated ability to manage priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.
- Highly accountable, results-driven professional with a strong sense of ownership.
