Finance Business Partner - Fixed Term 6 months

We are seeking a commercially minded and highly influential Interim Finance Business Partner to provide financial leadership and strategic support, initially for 6 months. This role will partner closely with senior stakeholders to deliver insightful analysis, robust financial planning, and constructive challenge at a time of change for Basingstoke and Deane. The successful candidate will be CCAB qualified with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, actionable recommendations, while maintaining strong financial control and supporting the achievement of organisational objectives.

What You Will Do

  • Be a trusted advisor on finance matters for senior leaders within the organisation, improving financial awareness and giving accurate and credible advice on financial management and wider governance issues.
  • Co-ordinate the annual financial planning and reporting for assigned directorates, providing information and advice to support option analysis, decision making and effective financial control.
  • Support the development of business cases, providing constructive challenge and decision making support that adds value.

What we’re looking for

  • CCAB Qualified, ideally with experience in local government.
  • Experience supporting implementation and management of substantial contracts.
  • Proven ability to build relationships and provide effective challenge to senior leadership and key stakeholders.
