At Serco, we’re driving a step change in how finance supports our business. This role sits at the heart of that transformation within our Digital Delivery Centre, helping to shape smarter decisions, stronger performance, and more efficient service delivery across a complex, global portfolio.
The Opportunity
We are seeking a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support senior business leaders in delivering profitable, sustainable growth across a portfolio of contracts and services.

What You’ll Be Doing
- Act as a visible and trusted partner to senior leaders, influencing strategic and operational decision-making
- Translate complex financial and non-financial data into clear insight and actionable recommendations
- Lead on scenario planning and performance analysis across your portfolio
- Identify and drive process improvement and efficiency opportunities across contracts and services
- Support commercial decision-making including bids, extensions, rebids and contract changes
- Challenge assumptions, highlight risks, and ensure financial integrity and accountability
- Work across global and regional stakeholders to align priorities and improve outcomes
- Champion the use of data, technology, and digital tools to enhance financial decision-making

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
