Manufacturing Accountant – Bradford – Greenside Facility
About the Role
Ready to make a real difference at one of Morrisons' largest and most dynamic sites? We’re looking for a driven Manufacturing Accountant to join our Bradford – Greenside facility.
This isn’t your standard desk job. You’ll be at the financial heart of a 400,000-square-foot, state-of-the-art operation. With a 1,500-strong team operating 24/7 across 44 production lines and six different operations, the environment here is incredibly fast-paced. Every day, 72 vehicles leave the site packed with 277 varieties of freshly prepared products, and you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring everything runs profitably and efficiently.
The impact you’ll make:
- Business Partnering: Act as a true commercial partner to Site Operations Managers, driving financial performance on the shop floor.
- Champion Profitability: Proactively identify cost-saving initiatives and volume-growth opportunities to boost the site’s profitability.
- Build Strong Networks: Collaborate daily with a diverse range of stakeholders, bridging the gap between the manufacturing site and trading teams.
- Own the Numbers: Take charge of weekly and periodic financial reporting, including the preparation and posting of accruals and prepayments, to keep track of the site’s financial health.
- Drive Strategic Growth: Play a key role in shaping site strategy, capital expenditure (CapEx) plans, and high-impact projects.
- Protect the Business: Ensure robust financial controls are maintained across this large-scale operation.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
