Anderson Knight are delighted to be supporting an outstanding opportunity to join a major organisation at a pivotal stage of investment, transformation and sustainable growth, where finance plays a central role in shaping business strategy and delivering long-term commercial success.

As a Finance Business Partner, you will operate as a trusted strategic adviser to senior executives and business leaders, providing commercial insight that drives performance, supports complex investment decisions and ensures capital is deployed effectively. Working across high-profile projects, transformation programmes and strategic initiatives, you will challenge thinking, influence direction and help maximise organisational value.

This is far more than a traditional finance role. You'll combine strategic financial leadership with commercial acumen, partnering with stakeholders to evaluate opportunities, optimise performance and deliver projects that support long-term business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with Executive and Senior Leadership teams to influence strategic planning, commercial decision-making and business performance.
  • Lead the financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, scenario modelling and long-range financial planning.
  • Provide robust commercial and financial analysis to support major investment decisions, business transformation programmes and strategic projects.
  • Evaluate and challenge business cases across capital investment, technology, infrastructure, operational improvement and growth initiatives, ensuring financial viability and strategic alignment.
  • Deliver insightful performance reporting, identifying key commercial drivers, emerging risks and opportunities to improve profitability, efficiency and return on investment.
  • Develop sophisticated financial models and scenario analysis to support investment appraisals and strategic planning.
  • Influence senior stakeholders through clear, data-driven recommendations that enable informed decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement across financial processes, governance and performance management, supporting a culture of commercial excellence.
  • Collaborate across finance and operational teams to ensure strategic objectives translate into measurable financial and operational outcomes.

About You

We're looking for an ambitious finance professional who combines technical excellence with strategic thinking and commercial awareness.

You will ideally possess:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with at least five years' post-qualified experience.
  • Proven success within a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance, Strategic Finance or Finance Manager role.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience supporting strategic projects, investment programmes or business transformation initiatives.
  • Advanced financial modelling, forecasting and analytical capabilities, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate it into meaningful business insight.
  • Experience preparing and critically evaluating investment appraisals, business cases and capital expenditure proposals.
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills with the confidence to influence, challenge and engage senior leaders across the organisation.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with the ability to balance strategic thinking with operational delivery in a fast-paced environment.
