Job title: Finance Business Partner

Based at: Sandown Park Racecourse

Contract type: 12-month Fixed Term

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the role

We’re looking for a Finance Business Partner to join us on a 12-month fixed-term contract, supporting management accounts and business partnering activity across several locations. This is a practical, hands-on role suited to someone who can build strong working relationships and deliver reliable financial insight in a busy, varied environment.

The Finance Business Partner will

  • Business partnering with General Managers and budget holders to drive performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Regular analysis to highlight issues, opportunities and actions for income growth and cost control.
  • Support for budget review meetings to track spend, challenge assumptions and refine forecasts.
  • A focus on improving analysis, reporting and processes to enhance clarity and efficiency.
  • Leading performance reviews to deepen understanding of KPIs and business drivers.
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts for designated racecourses.
  • Detailed reconciliations between accounts and booking systems to maintain financial accuracy
  • Balance sheet reconciliations and clear reporting of key movements

This role will be based at Sandown Park but will require travel nationally across our Racecourses

About you

  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations with a thorough understanding of management information systems.
  • Confident communicator with experience business partnering with commercial or operational teams to deliver business objectives.
  • Skilled in the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Analytical with strong commercial acumen and a good understanding of the drivers of business performance and KPIs.
  • Collaborative and able to successfully communicate with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial.
  • Advanced Excel skills
