Role Overview
We’re looking for a commercially minded Finance Business Partner to support the financial management of key projects across the business. Reporting into the CFO, this role will partner with the MD to provide accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and analysis.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring projects are delivered with strong financial oversight, clear reporting, and robust controls.
Accountabilities
- Partner with MD and project managers to challenge assumptions, improve decision-making, and drive commercial outcomes
- Own the financial management and performance of a portfolio of large-scale projects/events
- Develop and maintain robust project budgets, forecasts, and cash flow profiles, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives
- Provide real-time visibility of project profitability, proactively tracking costs, revenue, and margins against plan
- Deliver high-quality monthly project reporting, including insightful variance analysis and clear commentary on key drivers
- Lead financial input into the full project lifecycle - from initial pricing and planning through to delivery and post-event review
- Support the financial evaluation of large contracts, bids, and pricing decisions, including scenario modelling and risk assessment
- Monitor working capital for projects, including WIP, accruals, revenue recognition, and cash collection milestones
- Identify and proactively manage financial risks and opportunities, including cost overruns and margin erosion
- Deliver post-project performance analysis, highlighting lessons learned and opportunities to improve future project profitability

Prerequisite Knowledge, Skills & Experience
- Qualified ACCA / CIMA / ACA
- Previous experience as a finance business partner in a business with large, long-term projects / events
- Strong understanding of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
- Experience working with project managers or operational stakeholders
- Confident handling large data sets and producing clear financial reports
- Strong Excel skills; experience with ERP or finance systems is beneficial
- High attention to detail with strong organisational skills
- Able to work independently and manage multiple priorities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders
