Anderson Knight are delighted to be partnering with our established client to recruit an exceptional Finance Business Partner. This is a key appointment within the finance function, offering the opportunity to play a pivotal role in driving operational and commercial performance across the business unit.

Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, you will lead the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) agenda for your business area while managing a small finance team. This is a highly operational role where you will work closely with senior leaders, providing meaningful financial insight, challenging performance, and supporting strategic decision-making.

You will be a visible and trusted business partner, helping operational stakeholders understand financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and deliver sustainable business growth.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the FP&A function for your business area, delivering accurate budgets, forecasts and long-term financial plans.
  • Partner with the Regional Director and operational leadership team to provide commercial insight and support strategic decision-making.
  • Manage, coach and develop a small finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance.
  • Produce robust financial analysis, management reporting and KPI dashboards that drive operational performance.
  • Analyse financial and operational trends, identifying risks, opportunities and areas for performance improvement.
  • Challenge business assumptions through detailed financial modelling and scenario analysis to support investment and commercial decisions.
  • Own the monthly forecasting cycle, annual budgeting process and periodic reforecasting activities.
  • Deliver insightful variance analysis with clear recommendations and actions to improve financial performance.
  • Work collaboratively with operational teams to improve processes, enhance financial controls and increase business efficiency.
  • Support business initiatives, capital investment decisions and operational projects with detailed financial evaluation.
  • Ensure strong financial governance, compliance and adherence to internal controls and company policies.
  • Drive continuous improvement across reporting, planning processes and financial systems

About You

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially minded finance professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced operational environment and influencing decision making across the business.

You will ideally possess:

  • A recognised professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, CA)
  • Excellent commercial awareness with the ability to translate financial data into practical business insight.
  • Advanced analytical, financial modelling and Excel skills.
  • Experience of budgeting, forecasting, business planning and performance analysis.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to influence and challenge senior operational leaders.
  • A proactive, hands-on approach with a genuine passion for improving business performance.
