We are partnering with a growing and ambitious hospitality business in Ayrshire to recruit a Finance Business Partner. This is an outstanding opportunity for a commercially focused finance professional who thrives on turning data into meaningful insight and influencing operational decision-making.
Whether you currently work as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Analyst, Management Accountant, or Business Intelligence Analyst, this role offers the chance to step into a highly visible position where you will collaborate closely with operational leaders and senior stakeholders to drive performance, profitability, and strategic decision-making.
The organisation is investing heavily in its finance and data capabilities—estimating a role that blends financial partnering, business insight, and analytical depth within a fast-paced multi-site hospitality environment.
Study support is available for candidates pursuing a professional accounting qualification.
The Opportunity
As Finance Business Partner, you’ll serve as a bridge between Finance and Operations, leveraging financial and operational data to:
- Identify trends and opportunities
- Provide actionable insights to support decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement
You’ll work directly with operational management to:
- Supply robust analysis, commercial recommendations, and insight-driven decisions
- Champion a culture where data leads growth and efficiency

Key Responsibilities
- Partner with Operations and departmental leadership to enhance financial performance
- Develop and analyse financial/operational KPIs, highlighting risks and growth paths
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Deliver real-time business commentary, probing underlying commercial triggers
- Encourage intelligent discussion around operational variances
- Construct reporting tools and dashboards to improve transparency
- Advise on investment decision-making, business cases, and expansion
- Mine large datasets to extract performance patterns and recommendations
- Streamline reporting using data quality and automation
- Champion a data-led decision-making mindset
About You
Ideal Background
Preferred experience includes:
- Prior roles in finance business partnering, FP&A, management accounting, or commercial analysis
- Strong commercial sector experience (hospitality, retail, leisure)
- A result-driven, observant mindset thrilled by connections between finance and operations
Essential Skills & Experience
✔ Proven track record in data-intensive finance/formal analysis domains ✔ Advanced Email proficiency (audit trails, pivot tables, dashboarding tools) ✔ Ability to articulate nuanced financial or operational insights ✔ Stakeholder management – collaborative and constructively assertive ✔ Certifications in progress towards a qualification (e.g. ACCA, CIMA)
