Finance Business Partner (Technology & Transformation)

Milton Keynes (Hybrid - 2 days in the office, 3 days from home)

£450-£470 per day (Umbrella)

7-month contract | Inside IR35

Are you an experienced Finance Business Partner with a background supporting Technology, IT or Digital functions?

This is an opportunity to become the trusted finance partner to a Technology Leadership Team during an exciting period of digital and AI transformation, helping shape investment decisions, influence strategy and drive commercial performance.

Broster Buchanan is delighted to be partnering with a highly respected organisation to recruit a Finance Business Partner (Technology & Transformation).

Working closely with the CIO and senior Technology stakeholders, you'll provide commercial insight across budgets, forecasting, business cases and strategic technology investment.

What you'll be doing?

  • Partner the CIO and Technology Leadership Team as their trusted finance adviser.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning across the Technology function.
  • Deliver insightful month-end reporting, financial analysis and executive commentary.
  • Develop robust financial models, investment appraisals and business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Support multiple technology and digital transformation projects from a financial perspective.
  • Work alongside Project Managers and Sponsors to ensure projects remain financially on track.
  • Provide commercial support around software licensing, supplier contracts and technology investment.
  • Advise on Capex and Opex treatment across technology expenditure.
  • Help enhance financial reporting and forecasting to support an evolving Technology function.
  • Challenge and influence senior stakeholders to drive informed commercial decision-making.

About You:

You'll be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with strong Finance Business Partnering experience and a proven track record of supporting Technology, IT or Digital teams.

You'll ideally have partnered stakeholders such as a CIO, CTO, Technology Director, IT Director or Head of Digital and be confident translating financial information into meaningful commercial insight.

You'll also bring experience of:

  • Technology, IT or Digital business partnering
  • Budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Financial modelling, investment appraisal and business case development
  • Technology project accounting
  • Capex and Opex accounting
  • Influencing senior stakeholders and providing constructive challenge
