About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you’ll champion accurate, insightful financial information critical to Auror’s UK and European growth. You will:
- Unlock core business performance through financial reporting and analysis
- Lead cross-functional processes and financial transformation initiatives
- Partner as a trusted advisor to stakeholders in financial strategy and operations
You’ll ensure financial integrity while propelling Auror toward its mission to reduce violent retail crime by 50% in 5 years. Collaborating with retail leaders globally and leveraging AI-driven techniques is central to this role—impactful solutions that drive innovation, efficiency, and decision-making are yours to deliver.
Responsibilities

Financial Reporting (UK Region)
- Own production of monthly/yearly financial reports and commentary—connecting numbers to business outcomes
- Implement IFRS compliance, internal controls, and monthly closing processes

Customer and Stakeholder Relations
- Partner with leadership to interpret financial results, challenge assumptions, and uncover growth opportunities
- Present impactful analyses to diverse audiences (executives, teams, external regulators)

Operational & Compliance Leadership
- United Kingdom tax, VAT, transfer pricing, and regulatory audit responsibilities
- Payroll compliance and responsible policing of statutory and reporting deadlines
- AP/AR process optimization and FX/risk management across cashflows

Planning & Forecasting
- UK forecasting and financial planning—supporting strategic commercial decisions via sharper projections

Expansion Projects
- Drive EU market entry workstreams: financial forecasting, process alignment, and compliance readiness
- Automate workflows and enhance processes using sustainable AI solutions
- Evaluate and mitigate risks before they disrupt operations
Requirements
Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years in accounting, reporting, or financial business partnering—preferably in fast-growing SaaS, mutli-entity, or multi-region environments
- Expertise aligning accounting standards (IFRS), reconciliations, and compliance—especially in the UK and Europe
- Technical proficiency with Xero, Excel, payroll systems, and enterprise financial software

- Risk awareness: Proactive identification and mitigation of financial and operational threats

Competitive salary: £70,000–£80,000 annual base (subject to experience level)
