About the Role
At Auror, we’re tackling Organised Retail Crime—a global £150 billion problem—by connecting people and intelligence through technology for good. Over the past 12 years, since founding in New Zealand, we’ve expanded to partner with leading retailers across the US, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, and the UK.
Our mission: reduce violent retail crime by 50% in 5 years. To achieve this, we need skilled professionals who drive innovation and operational excellence within a fast-growing team.
This role is ideal for an ambitious Finance Business Partner with a passion for data-driven insights, strategic finance leadership, and cross-functional collaboration.
As we embrace AI for operational efficiency, we’re looking for individuals eager to leverage technology responsibly while pushing the boundaries of finance’s impact.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Reporting & Analysis
- Own the UK financial reporting cycle, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness
- Prepare variance analyses and strategic commentary linking financial performance to business decisions
- Build actionable financial dashboards to enhance transparency and decision-making
Compliance & Control
- Manage payroll and tax compliance, including UK tax filings, VAT, and intercompany transfer pricing
- Lead audit processes and ensure full compliance with IFRS and UK/EU regulations
- Maintain accurate reconciliations, journals, and internal controls

Proactive Finance Leadership
- Develop and refine strategic financial plans for the UK region, aligning with broader business goals
- Improve AP/AR cycles, managing cash flow and FX risk effectively
- Drive finance transformations—including automation, AI-driven optimisation, and system enhancements
Stakeholder & Business Partnership
- Partner with global Finance, commercial teams, and partners to challenge assumptions and drive growth
- Act as a trusted advisor, influencing decisions through clear, insightful financial storytelling
Market Expansion
- Lead the finance function for Europe expansion, including forecasts, compliance, and process design
Risk Management & Continuous Improvement
- Proactively identify and escalate risks, ensuring proactive problem-solving
- Suggest process optimisations that drive scalability and reduce operational friction
Requirements
- 5-7 years of experience in accounting, FP&A, or finance business partnering—preferably in fast-growing, multi-entity, or SaaS environments
- Technical excellence: Proficient in Xero/NetSuite, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial systems
- Strong accounting, payroll, tax, and compliance knowledge (UK/EU-focused, with SaaS transfer pricing experience a plus)
- Ability to translate financial data into actionable insights for business leaders
- Ownership mentality: Autonomy, problem-solving, and a proactive approach to improvement
