A successful, growing subscription-based business is looking for a Finance & Business Performance Manager to lead its finance function while partnering with senior leadership to improve business performance.
This is a broad, commercially focused role combining financial leadership, reporting, analysis and continuous improvement. You'll work closely with the leadership team to provide insight, strengthen reporting and help drive better business decisions.
The Role
Leading a small finance team, you'll oversee financial operations while focusing on:
- Financial leadership and governance
- Business performance reporting
- Commercial analysis
- Process improvement
- Business partnering
Key Responsibilities
Finance
- Lead and develop a small finance team.
- Review monthly management accounts, cash flow and forecasts.
- Ensure statutory compliance and maintain strong financial controls.
- Support budgeting, forecasting and year-end processes.
- Manage relationships with external accountants, auditors and advisers.

Business Performance
- Develop KPI reporting and management dashboards.
- Analyse revenue, profitability and commercial performance.
- Produce meaningful management information and business insights.
- Partner with stakeholders to improve reporting and decision-making.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve processes and efficiency.
- Enhance reporting, automation and data quality.
- Support business change and systems improvements.
- Build scalable processes to support future growth.
About You
You'll likely be working as a Finance Manager, Finance Business Partner, Management Accountant or Commercial Finance professional and be looking for a broader, more strategic position.
You'll bring:
- Strong finance and accounting experience (qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience).
- Experience producing management accounts and financial reporting.
- Excellent analytical and Excel skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management.
- Experience leading or mentoring others.
- A commercial mindset with a passion for improving business performance.

Desirable
- SME experience.
- Budgeting and forecasting.
- Process improvement or transformation projects.
- Experience of recurring revenue or subscription-based businesses.
- Knowledge of cloud accounting systems and reporting tools.
