Job Purpose
Working with the wider Dynamics team, analyse business requirements, recommend solutions, and lead local project teams to improve processes using Dynamics 365 and related software.
- Develop solutions to meet service levels and management information required by the business.
- Work with the Dynamics team implementing Dynamics 365 Finance & Supply Chain Management in all Lucy Electric businesses to promote Group processes and standardisation.
Business Overview
Lucy Electric is an international leader in intelligent secondary power distribution products and solutions, specialising in high-performance medium and low-voltage switchgear. Key features include remote operation and monitoring, linking energy generation to consumption for utility, industrial, and commercial applications.
Job Context
Collaborate closely with functional business analysts and the support & development team to ensure a co-ordinated approach to solution provision.
The role is primarily focused on the financial functional areas of a manufacturing business.
Job Dimensions
- Engage with the business to assess high-level business needs and priorities, elicitate business requirements, and prepare documentation and technical specifications.
- Act as a champion to enable modern business practices within the finance domain.
- Advocate for the adoption of digital technologies and ensure business benefits are realised by measuring the impact of change within the business.
- Arrange and engage in rigorous User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and Acceptance Into Service (AIS) testing.

Key Accountabilities

- Efficiently engage with business stakeholders to understand and capture systems and information requirements.
- Enhance stakeholder interaction processes to promote positive engagement.
- Develop and maintain a tactical plan for addressing data management priorities.
- Facilitate meetings and communication to enable knowledge transfer.
- Logically deconstruct existing systems to identify opportunities and synergies.
- Contribute to corporate business insights through data analytics.
Measures of Success
- Provision of traceable, documented functional and non-functional business systems requirements.
- End-users have clarity over business engagement processes and service provision.
- Clear, relevant, and visible data management workstreams providing robust business insights.
- Engagement with stakeholders through a collaborative approach.
- Presentation of systems schematics to support enterprise architecture decision-making.
- Swift manner of resolving issues raised by the business.

Qualifications, Knowledge, and Experience
Minimum
- Preferably CCAB or CIMA qualified (or working towards).
- Evidence in business requirements elicitation, knowledge acquisition, and project management through qualifications or experience.
- 5 years’ experience implementing, supporting, and enhancing Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 or Dynamics 365.
- Experience with core financial modules: General Ledger, Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger, Fixed Assets, Cash and Bank Management, and Project Management and Accounting.
Job-Specific Skills
- First-class communication skills in business English (global standard).
- Ability to create detailed proposals, design documents, test scripts, and facilitate meetings.
- General commercial awareness of end-to-end value chains.
Behavioural Competencies
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Approach to balance business needs with following established processes.
- Ability to present insights in an engaging manner to diverse stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
- Experience in solution implementation, including the capability to challenge technical solutions.
- Expertise in process and data ecosystem mapping, data wrangling, and familiarity with coding.
- Knowledge in Business Intelligence and Data Governance.
