The Company
Métier Peoples is pleased to be supporting our key client, a global PE backed engineering services company, operating in 30 countries and employing 6,000 people. The company is currently recruiting for a Finance Reporting and Control Manager, to be based in Yateley, with hybrid working arrangements available. This is an exciting time to join the company who have enjoyed 20% year on year growth in the last 5 years.
The Job
Reporting to the CFO, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting process and maintaining stringent control measures to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial data. You will play a key role in the preparation of monthly financial statements, providing insightful analysis that will inform strategic decision-making across the organization. You will collaborate closely with various teams to become a true Finance Business Partner, to streamline processes and enhance reporting accuracy
This position also involves the development and implementation of internal controls, as well as regular assessments of financial processes to identify areas for improvement. As the Company grows, there will also be a requirement to be hands on and take responsibility for month end transactions for specific entities within the group.

To succeed in this role, you must have a robust understanding of Finance, strong analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving. As part of our team, you will contribute to our organization’s overall financial health and play a vital role in driving our success through meticulous financial oversight and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee the month-end close process, ensuring all financial data is recorded accurately and promptly. Develop and implement internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure the integrity of financial information. Analyse financial results and provide insights and recommendations to senior management. Prepare financial reports for various stakeholders, including management, regulatory bodies, and investors. Ensure closing for certain legal entities with proactive involvement in management accountant duties/tasks
The Candidate
Proven experience in financial reporting and control within an accounting environment. Strong knowledge of GAAP and applicable financial reporting standards. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficiency in accounting software and financial modelling tools. Effective communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines. Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis Desired but not essential experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. Preferably, a degree in Finance, Business, Economics, STEM subject or equivalent Ideally, previous experience in FP&A but not essential Experience in SQL for data extraction, manipulation and analysis Experience in Power BI and ability to create interactive dashboards and reports Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel for data analysis and modelling Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to travel Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Attention to detail and strong organisational skills and/or project management skills
