About the Role
The Department of Clinical Neurosciences is a large and progressive academic research Department. We are seeking an experienced and proactive Finance Coordinator to join our departmental finance team. This is a key role to support the effective management of our financial operations, ensuring compliance with University financial regulations, and delivering high-quality financial information and advice to stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day financial administration in the Department.
- Act as a central point of contact for financial matters.
- Work closely with central finance teams, budget holders, and senior staff to ensure accurate reporting, robust financial controls, and efficient financial processes.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Experience in financial administration.
- Strong communication and organisation skills.
- Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
- Confidence and enjoyment in working in a fast-paced finance environment.
- Strong knowledge of finance systems and processes (experience with Oracle and Cambridge University Finance Systems is desirable).

Location:
- The role is based on the Cambridge Biomedical Campus.
- Hybrid working model, consisting of days of work at home and days of work alongside other members of the Operations Team on site.
